Salt Lake City

June 01, 2010

Jacek Stopa is originally from Wroclaw, Poland. He started playing chess at the age of 8 after randomly buying a chess set on a winter vacation. His father taught him how to play and he soon became addicted. He started competing in tournaments the following year, and since then has enjoyed a whirlwind success. He earned his International Master title at age 18 and was the European Team Chess Champion in Solving Chess Problems in 2008. He has developed into a very effective chess instructor over the last six years, helping many young chess players reach their maximum potential. He is an amazing, one-of-a-kind instructor for students of all levels.

Jacek will be spending the summer in Salt Lake and is available for private lessons. He can be contacted at 801.403.4991.
